Dear Morganites and Friends of Morgan,
Thank you for your interest in the annual Morgan On The Vineyard event, on Martha’s Vineyard. While this gathering is an opportunity to share fun moments with the Morgan faithful, we must be focused on our purpose: to help Morgan students complete their studies and graduate.
An important measure of any university is the financial contributions made each year by its alumni. These gifts both reflect the success of an institution’s alumni and their dedication to supporting the mission of the university. Our success is, in part, due both to the education we have received and relationships we have formed as a result of our shared Morgan experience. Our Morgan journey was made possible by the contributions and advocacy of women and men who preceded us.
It’s now our watch. It’s our turn. It’s our responsibility. We cannot – and should not – simply rely upon Annapolis and Washington to support our young Sisters and Brothers, advance Morgan’s mission, or preserve its legacy. This responsibility belongs to us.
Whereas, any amount is appreciated, we ask that you consider supporting the Morgan State University Foundation and help us raise $100,000 at the Morgan on the Vineyard Reception by joining one of the following societies:
- The Morgan on MV Society, minimum of $1,000 Contribution,
- The Summer Giving Circle, minimum of $500 Contribution,
- Growing the Future, minimum of $250 Contribution
To make your gift prior to the Morgan on the Vineyard Reception, visit the www.givetomorgan.com and reference Morgan on MV. Gifts and donations will also be accepted at the reception. You may also text: MSUVineyard to 41444.
Checks should be made payable to Morgan State University Foundation and sent to 1700 E. Cold Spring Lane, 201 Truth Hall, Baltimore, MD 21251.
We are excited to have President David Wilson share with us details of Morgan’s bright future, at the reception. Let’s demonstrate our commitment to the future of Morgan’s students. If we are on the Vineyard (even those who cannot join us), we can afford to make a significant and tax deductible donation to the Morgan State University Foundation. The time is now.
“The strength of Morgan is found in the alumni, who protect, advance and support its mission.”
Yours in Morgan,
Greg Jones ’79 & Lauren Jones, Host
Morgan on the Vineyard Committee
